Good looking setup Swampman!
How long a blade has that "Hog Sticker" got on it?

That is a Queen Cutlery butcher knife with a 7" blade.  Those are 405 cast bullets that I load myself over 30.5 grains of IMR-4198.

That ought to take care of anything in the swamp!
i really like those Marlin 1895`s, I also have 444 Marlin in the Marlin lever action, along with my 1895.
Keep us posted on game taken with those cast bullets.

Yeah Swampman!
Tha .444 Marlin is a great round!
I have had mine for some time now.
I did some reloads for it some years ago using the Barnes 265 gr fp. Bob Milek had used this same load on a Red Stag hunt in Argentia several years ago. I used the same load in preparation for elk hunting here in Colorado. Of course like a dummy I did not list my loading info on my cartridge case as I had the magazine article with the info. Now I cannot find that magazine. But these are pretty hot loads as they were shooting these Red Stags at 200 plus yarsd with the Marlin lever action.
