Got room for another oldie but goodie? Just found you guys and would like to hang around a soak up more wisdom and foolishness. Don't hunt, but I enjoy fine weapons. Any dirt fishers in here?

Welcome. What part of the state you live in? I'm in Calhoun County on the northern end.

What's a dirt fisher? Can't say I've ever run across that term.

Welcome Chefman-I am an Al boy too, but further south that our hosy, Greybeard, I'm around Ramer. Got a dirt fishing pole from my deceased father-in-law, but haven't found much beyond brass in grass and lost nuts/bolts. Used it once to search for a nieghbor's lost zippo lighter on a 6 acre field and we only found 3 old horse shoes.  Chefman-alludes to cooking subjects-feel free to expand our waists with some recipes!

Thanks guys. I'll be glad to share a few recipes in the future, but, my degree is in pastry. I cannot be responsible for spare tires. :)  With all this heat and a yard to take care of I haven't done much baking. But once things cool down I will try to get back in the swing of things.
