Congrats Fred, but don't be tricked by the barrel being marked SB2, they've been marking 357 and 44 mag barrels SB2 and putting them on SB1 frames since 2008, if it's a syn stocked factory rifle, it's probably an SB1, but even if it is(an SB1), it's still not a bad price, they're $230 new.  ;) If it has a CAC serial number prefix, it's an SB1, otherwise, removing the stock to see the tang area surrounding the stock mounting threads will tell you if it's an SB1 or SB2, solid = SB1, skeletonized(hollow) = SB2, see pics in the FAQs.

You are obviously in great distress over the way in which you acquired this rifle. I would be willing to relieve you of this burden, as well as see that you recapture the money that you paid.

A simple PM will begin the process of lightening your load of guilt. ;)

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

I paid the same for my like new .44 carbine that came with the box and all the original papers...  Then I spent more than that again putting a scope on it.  Do I feel guilty, hell no.  ;D

I needed a rifle for my 13 year old son to deer hunt with about six years ago. A friend at a trap shoot said he had some guns to get rid of for aanother friend of his. The gentleman had passed away and his widow just wanted them gone. There was nothing fancy. He said in the group was a break action rifle in .30-.30. I told him I was interested and would like to see it. He brought it the next week for me to look at. It had surface rust all over the outside, but bore and internals were perfect. I offered $25.00 and they took it. My son has killed deer every year with it and it's a tack driver at the ranges we can shoot at our hunting place. Typically a 100 yards or less. I have twice the $25.00 in a economical scope, base, rings and hammer extension.
