Lost the front bead replacement options
« on: August 09, 2011, 04:27:39 AM »
As the subject says the boys shotgun has lost the bead, I'd imagine I can go to a smith and find a new plain bead to screw back in but are there other options, maybe a more visible fiber optic. And if anyone knows the thread for the plain one that would be great too.

A little over a month till waterfowling, woot.

I dont remember the brand, Tru Glo maybe. I bought one of the stick on kind for my shorty 12 guage. Put it on couple years ago and it is still stuck in place. They also have a type that clips on the barrel.

Marbles has good info on their website; Brownells sells Marbles sights.

The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

I replaced the lost bead with a glow in the pin that I had from an no longer used archery sight.  The shank of the sight is brass so I trim it to length and then epoxied it in place.  It is still there.

go to Midway Usa type in Marbles for a search you'll get about 50 beads to choose from. Kurt
