DIGANELIs! AND WHY SOME ARE, AND SOME WILL NEVER BE

I arrived home late tonight, and found what my wife had called me about three days ago laying on my chair in my "man cave". It is a hand made knife, and hand made sheath, from someone I would not likely be friends with given my convictions on certain professions, and their participants. Yes, I said CONVICTIONS, and I have my reasons which I have never been bashful, or apologetic about.
With these CONVICTIONS in mind, I will come to the point.
When I first started coming across Richard in these forums, and his writings in regards to mine, I was my usual indifferent, standoffish to the point of being openly rude self, as I also knew Richard was; dare I say it? A lawyer! A prosecutor yes, but alas, to me a "lawyer is a lawyer", and vermin in my household 99% of the time. But this lawyer was different, and he was persistent in convincing me that he and I were much the same. He would send me emails, which I would ignore, that were encouraging me to see this, and although I didn't answer most of the time, I didn't block them because I was watching, and looking for motive.
As time went on, I saw that Richard first, was "a warrior" in the truest sense. A combat helicopter pilot, a police "street officer", and now, sadly. An attorney.
Once again, as I watched and read, I began to see, that not only was Richard "a REAL warrior" but, he was also, an "up front", "straight up" kinda guy, along with being patient, and forgiving when he offered his hand of friendship and it was at first refused. We began communicating more and more. We exchanged numbers, and occasionally talk by phone, and we know each others personal life concerns to an extent. Richard, aka AtlLaw is "the real deal" and a good friend.
Thanks for the knife and sheath Richard! Or should I better say: THANKS DIGANELI (brother)!
Excellent work! And it will be used and carried as a personal favorite, given to me from a "personal favorite". The work by the way, is "first class".

This is, but one of the friendships made on this website we call GBO. Thank you too Bill. This is just a great place to be, with great folks.

Buy the way guys. Here's the knife. And P.S. Richard. It's what I would picked out for myself also.

Dee, I admire you for standing up for your convictions, but I respect you for being open minded enough to accept Richard. Though I have no personal relationship with either of you, just from reading both of your posts I would be willing to conclude that each of you would be a friend of mine. On this site, some already are, and more will become.

Thanks for taking the risk Dee opening yourself and sharing your thoughts and truths with the rest of us. Much appreciated.

Not all lawyers are an evil blight on society. I believe it is unfortunate that they are needed.

Like said, I too, like a man that stands up for what he believes in no matter what others may think.
I do the same and I think that is why I liked you from the first few posts I read of yours.
 
As for Richard.
I knew I liked him from day one.
We have exchanged PMs and posts many times and even had a few deals.
He is an upstanding member and seems like a honest person.
What am I saying, an HONEST LAWYER?!!! 
You can learn a lot from dealing with a person and I feel I have most of the members I have dealt with a few time here on GBO figured out on the sort of person they are.
I may miss it on a couple but not many and not by much.
Richard has already proved himself to me along with quite a few others by things they have said or done for me.
Those are the ones I refer to when I talk about FRIENDS!
If I was to lose GBO today, I would know that I have been bettered just for being a part of such a great site.
