Trapping Blackbuck
« on: January 04, 2004, 02:29:18 PM »
I am raising Blackbuck. I need to know the best way to trap them with out stressing them. They come to a feeder, but are still wild.
Need information on size and dimensions of a trap.

I've seen nets used.   I've seen boxes like a trap, so its dark inside and they calm down, for transporting them.   I know a guy that will do it for you, but that's the limit of what I know.

I saw one released once, it ran right into a fence and bounced off.   A day or two later, it was dead, too much stress.   Good luck finding the best way to do it.

I have a friend that has been an exotic trapper for about 10 years now. PM me and I will send you his name and number so you can call and ask him about how he traps blackbucks.
