Yeah, I'm glad the kid is OK and he showed some common sense. But, the cosmopolitan media blew this thing way out of proportion. A little sensationalism, don't you think? The headlines read, "Boy Scout Survives Night in Forest" (highlight mine), as if to say that a majority of people who spend a summer's night outside urbanization succumb to the wilds and die, as if death is the normal outcome to spending a night in the woods. I would expect nothing less from a Boy Scout, in the summer. I, personally would feel a WHOLE lot less comfortable having to spend the night in downtown Detroit, for instance.
