Does anyone know if the early model (fining pin screw inside receiver) 1900's have a rebounding hammer with a safety catch on the hammer? Mine seems to have the notch on the hammer, but will not engage the trigger. I replaced the hammer with another with a more predominate notch and it has made no difference. Also, is there supposed to be a firing pin spring in the gun?
