Personally, I am hoping to find a black bear and a deer, young buck or doe. Got my moose last year so I got another year before I can apply for the lottery again. The wife didn't get drawn this year, but got hooked last year when she was my sub-permitee. And I am hopeful that my daughters and wife will accompany me a few times during deer hunting season. The girls are both only seven, and have three more years before they can hunt, but they're capable of being quiet and helping should we get something. What is on all of your wish lists for this season? I look forward to hearing from all of you. Thanks, Brett

The top of my list is to get my 9 year old boy into hunting. He has his own H&R 45 Colt carbine now but the only problem I have is that he's extremely recoil shy. The only thing he wants to shoot are the .454" round balls that I load over 3.9 grains of Trail Boss in a 45 LC case. Not enough power for a deer but I'm just happy that he likes to shoot with me at the moment. He shoots well at 25 yards off of a rest so I have confidence in his ability at that range. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make it fun for him this year.

Hoping to get a bear myself, lots of beech nuts around my area this year, seen lots of nice bucks in the fields driving around, hopefully they will be there in a couple of months. Its a shame more people don't use this forum, I like to hear from people in this area.

I have a bear that gets into my trash all the time lately. I don't consider myself a bear hunter but I do buy a tag every year just in case. I noticed the same thing about the beech nuts this year, tons of them. I haven't seen too many deer yet this summer unfortunately but lots of moose are around.

I'm hoping on getting a buck, but deer sightings have been few and far between. Up here in the NE Kingdom their seems
to be a lot of bear around. In fact last week my wife almost hit a large bear here on a road right in the village. But
hopefully as the weather gets colder, we'll start seeing deer moving around more.

Hoping to bag my first deer witha bow. Hopefully during the expanded season so i can still gun hunt. I would really like a chance to break in my new 30-30AI contender. Been hunting with a handgun for the last 7yrs no luck yet there either. Also hoping my fiance (soon to be wife on 10/1) will get her chance too. All in all looking forward to a safe enjoyable season
