Forend for a 21 " barrel (Contender)
« on: August 17, 2011, 01:23:49 PM »
Just bought a 22 Hornet barrel that was originally a 21" barrel cut down to 16 1/2". It came with  a black synthetic forend( 1 screw) that fits perfect, but I would like a wood. Is there anyplace I could get a wood forend? Thanks, S

The early 21" carbine barrels all had one screw forend mounting (later two screw), and they were were available from TC in walnut.   Finding one of them takes some doing maybe, but they do come up for sale now and then.   Ed's Contender's (a board sponsor) would be a very good place to contact for one.   If Ed doesn't have any in stock he can find one for you.   Or you could run a want to buy ad in the Contender classifieds here on GBO.

Another option is there are several companies that make custom forends for the TC's and can make you whatever you want from utility to exhibition grade wood.
