This had a broken stock and I got it cheap.  I repaired and refinished the stock.

I picked one of these up while I was out west.  It came with a box of factory ammo and some extra brass ;D   It is my favorite point and shoot rifle :D   Makes really big holes too ;D ;D ;D

A fellow gave me a stock set off of a Marlin 1895 Guide Gun.  I'm hoping it will fit.

Marlin should make them to look as nice as yours, Swampy.  Very nice indeed.

I'm very pleased with the way it shoots.  The .45-70 is my favorite rifle cartridge.

That's a nice one Swampy!  Nice pics too!!

I picked my first early 95 up around mid '86. Great shooter plainest wood I have ever seen on a Marlin. Looked like it belonged on a glen field!! A good friend talked me out of it with the understanding if it ever was sold I would get first offer.

In 1990 he passed suddenly and along with it my first '95. In about 1993 I found another and still have it. This one is almost as clean as yours appears to be. Slick action, excellent accuracy and pretty wood. It's a "keeper" without a doubt.

Great guns!
I got mine new in 1976 for $186 out the door.
If my daughter was here I'd post a picture.
I refinnished mine and took the forearm wood down to match the frame.
Makes for a sleeker look instead of the blocky look from the factory.
