I was browsing through the local Bass Pro Shop yesterday, and saw a Stoger 12 gauge SXS shotgun. It had 26" barrels, double triggers, tang safety, and screw in imp. and mod. choke tubes. Wood to metal fit was not the greatest, but the blueing was nice, and the stock had a pleasing grain to it. The price was only about $350. The guy behind the counter couldn't tell me much about it. The action sounded nice and solid when I snapped it shut. Most inexpensive doubles that I've looked at have that clinky "Mattel" sound when you close them. It shouldered well, and felt good to me. If anyone knows about the quality of these shotguns, or if anyone has one, I'd appreciate any comments you have. Thanks.
