   The Chevy Impalas built in 2007 & 2008  are having recall problems, but they may not be recalled by G M (government motors) !
  According to GM,  Those were made by the "old" GM (General motors)..so the new GM is off the hook !  If you have one of those cars, I guess you're on your own. 
                              Looks like from 2009, they may be covered..I think..

that's absurd.   I don't remember them actually filing for bankruptcy.
