This was gonna happen regardless of whom the president was. The bailouts started with Bush, remember? When Congress refused to bailout the auto industry, Bush did it with executive order.
While Obama is most certainly a Socialist-Marxist, he is only taking advantage of what both the Democrats, and Republicans gave him. The Patriot Act, Homeland Security, FEMA, ect.,ect.,ect. Say: Thank you GW!
Everything except Obama-Care was ALREADY SET IN PLACE, before Obama even decided to run for president. He is merely continuing what others before him, had already started. Remember that when you (collectively of course) vote for the next, "lessor of two evils". :o

Dee that's exactly the way I see it.
A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.   John F. Kennedy

Dee,
It must depend who makes the posts around here. I agree 100% with you, however if I had made that same post the following posts would have flamed me for blaming GWB and reminding me that he is not president anymore.

I don't know what to tell guzzi. I can assure you, not everyone that knows me, likes me, or agrees with me. However, GW was what he was. I voted for him for Governor, and for president. But when he ran for his last four years, he was my last "lessor of two evils", as he turned completely socialist in that last term, besides getting us into Iraq even deeper than his old man did.

I never looked at it that way. I suppose then, voting 3rd party relieves me of any responsibility for the mess, a lessor of two evils makes. I like that. I'm gonna hang on to that.

To me, a vote for independent or libertarian in the general election, is a vote for obama.

To me a vote for the "lessor of two evils" is a vote for more of the same. Which is what the problem is already.

I think Clint Eastwood would have been a good candidate. Someone from the "real world". Maybe even Charles Bronson. This pattern of "who sounds good as a orator, speech'ist" is not working. Great speeches do not solve problems. Where is Colin Powell when you need him.

I think you and I gave up on the GOP about the same time Dee!
GW was the last Neocon I will ever vote for.If we cannot elect a true Constitutional leaning Conservative like Paul, then we might as well sit back and wait for the ride to end. The sooner the better! Then the Re-building process can begin.

As long as we keep voting in these Liberal Democrats and Republicans the end of our Republic is inevitable! Some of us learn with age and some never do.The old D vs R thing is SO strong these parasites that have control know it and use it well! "JMO"
Freedom Of Speech.....Once we lose it, every other freedom will follow.

after 4 more years of obama,  it may be too late to rebuild.  look at europe, they've had hundreds of years more time to fix it than we have and they're still screwed up.
the only answer is to emulate our forefathers in 1776.

they weren't chicken back then.

Colin Powell has always tipped left of center. Bush was more left of center than most realized, but showed his true colors the last part of his last term. The troops like him, because he visits them, but he still sent them into harms way over money, and power that in their old age will realize.
Bush put us way in the hole by fighting two wars we had no business fighting, and are still fighting. I like it when the news hounds (including Fox) talk about us being in Iraq for only 10 years. How about over 20 years we've been dealing with that mess. Bush Sr. started that, Clinton continued it, and Bush Jr. Escalated it, and we're still losin troops. But the war is allegedly over. ::)

it  took a while but   eventually  they came up with enought money

FOR  COLIN POWEL  TO  ENDORSE  HIS ''BROTHER''

why  did  he take so long to endorse a member of the other party

was it rasism.....or was POWEL  bought and sold

did someone  buy a blackman?.....does slavery  still exist?

powel could have endorced  a 3rd  party  if he hated  MCAIN that muc

Like I said. If you will do a little research, you will find that Powell was far more Democratic liberal than most know. His writings, and views have always been left. He took the Secretary job from Bush for the prestige. He also got used real bad over the Iraq thing when Bush sent him to the UN to sell the war. When the truth came out, Powell looked like a fool, but Bush had gotten his war. Or should I say WARS.

Having looked over the current crop of contenders for the presidential nomination quite closely in most respects, I have not found one whom I personally agree with 100%.  Some may have very valid reasons to see things differently than I do, especially since they are privy to some intel to which most of us have no access.  Then others, especially the liberals, come out with such half-baked ideas that we can rest assured they spend time daily at lollipop farm in La La land.
...Only one perfect man ever walked the face of this earth..and he IS NOT  one of this crop of presidential candidates !

Then too we should keep in mind, we were long ago  warned not to "worship idols"....  Selah
