CZ 452 Questions

I am thinking of picking up a new 22 and I already have a lot of shotguns and rifles from CZ. I have a CZ 452 Lux but I want to keep that an iron sight rifle. So I am thinking of picking up a 452 American or a 452 Silhouette. The question is: Does anyone have a Silouette version of the 452? How do you like the synthetic stock? What do you like about it and what don't you like about it?

Another thing I am wondering about is the matte nickel finish that is available on the 452 Style. Has anyone seen or does anyone own one of these? I have not seen one up close and personal and I would like to know if the finish is durable and/or more rust resistant than the CZ blueing.

When it comes down to it should I just stick with the walnut/blue 452 American or should I go 452 Silhouette or 452 Style? This gun will see a lot of woods time and I may let "friends" carry it from time to time.

Thanks for your opinions, I am really looking for first hand knowledge.

I shot my new 452 Sil. for the first time this weekend.  Trigger is a bit "mushy" but still had 10 shot groups with cheap "bulk box ammo" at less than an inch at 25 yds, some in the half inch range. ;)   Mine is the blue version, the stock fits me very nicely.  After shooting groups, I started trimming dead tree branches with the little girl. ;D   I tryed 5 different types of ammo and it was very consistant with all types, POI didn't shift much.  www.rimfirecentral.com is a very good site for all rimfire lovers.  DP

[/size]I have a 452 Silhouette. Wood looks nicer, but composite is will not dent easily as will wood. It shoots well and the trigger has lot of creep. The creep is doable. Don't expect it to shoot 1/2" groups at 50yds.It will shoot 3/4" groups though, with good ammo. Mine shoots best with standard velocity wax bullets. Mine is scoped with a Leopold VX-1 2-7x rimfire. Rimfire scopes have the parallax set at 60 yds.

Well, it's not one of the two you mentioned, but I have a 452 Training rifle. So far, it's amazing. 1/2" or better groups at 25yds w/ open sights. I was going to put a scope on it, but I've been able to nail the squirrels just fine with it so why bother.
