Is it possible?
« on: August 25, 2011, 05:03:07 PM »
Is it possible to purchase or order a Browning Citori in a two barrel set. I’m interested in the Lighting or White Lighting model in a 20 ga. and .410 bore barrel set with 28” barrels. Can you order one like this?

Thanks!

Not to my knowledge. They used to sell three barrel sets in 20, 28 and .410 but I don't think they even do that anymore.

Bill,
Thanks.......I have no need for a 12 ga and will not use one for shooting clay targets. I would like to shoot register Skeet and maybe some Sporting Clays too. I may have to purchase a used 4 barrel set just I can shoot the 20 and 410.

Just pick up a 20 or 28 and you can shoot both skeet and sporting clays at least at many courses. Some sporting clays ranges these days seem to only know how to make targets difficult via long range not thru presentation. I've successfully used a 28 on clays at some ranges and on others a 12 full choke is barely adequate for some targets.

For skeet I use a .410 only these days and it or a 28 at most is all that is needed for that game. Just pick up a couple of Citori's used would be cheaper than new and just as good. You likely could get a pair of them for the price of the four barrel set or less and have the far better feeling small guns than the bulky 12.

I have the CZ Mallard in 20 ga now and I use it for skeet and dove hunting. It has the same style of pistol grip as the Lighting and White Lighting and I was thinking that the field model has a different grip, which I would like to try. This Sunday I’m planning to shoot my first round or course of sporting clays. I’m hoping some of the shooters will have some of the Citoris’ there I can handle. One gentleman at the skeet range has a Citori 4 barrel skeet gun I will have to ask to shoot a round or two with. I have been watching the gun actions and listing. I believe I will get the 410 first and continue looking for a 20 ga. I have time.
Thanks!
