Recently John Kort got Night Owl to make a run of 44 and 45 caliber bullets with the nose shape of the old Ideal 44 WCF bullet but with a big grease groove like Big Lube bullets. I have been recently shooting them in a couple of Marlins, Ruger revolver and a SAA. They flat out work! 100 rounds through the rifle with no foul out, and 2 1/2 to 3 inch groups at 100M even after all that shooting. The other bullets will keep the gun running but even from the start it's more like 2 foot groups at the same range. These bullets are a tremendous benefit to anybody wanting to do high volume shooting with black powder and actually hit what they are shooting at past card table distances. Kudos to John and NOE, you make it possible!
