Barrel Length:
I need your opinion. For the last 10 years I have used a Remington Classic 7mm/08 for my High Power Silhouette and Hunter Competition.  It did me well until last week at the Canadian Rifle Silhouette Championships.  Lot's of vertical stringing - the horizontal was never a problem.
For cleaning, a 7mm brush barely cleans the bore.  A well-used .30 brush cleans better.
This barrel now has almost 6,700 rounds through it - more than any hunter rifle was designed for.  Is it time to get a new barrel?

Don't rush things, you don't want to be too hasty. You can always make up some 7.3mm bullets and keep 'er going for a few more thousand!

Seriously though, that's impressive life out of a 7mm-08! I'd say it's earned its keep.
