Dialed in the .44mag Handi Yesterday...
« on: August 29, 2011, 03:51:44 AM »
 8)

I'm really loving this little rifle....

Bought it last fall, for my daughters to hunt deer with...

I may not let them shoot it.....

Mounted a Tru Glo Multi Reticle/Dual Color Reflex Sight to it, set the target at 25yds and had 3 shot groups in the bullseye within 10 minutes.....

According to Remington's Ballistics Program (If I'm reading things right) it should be good to go for just about any deer within 100yds with a 240gr bullet....

Have I mentioned I'm loving this little rifle yet?  Also removed the factory recoil pad, fabricated a small OSB cap for the synthetic stock and installed a slip-on Limbsaver Pad....   8)

I love my 44 handi too, and the cartridge is a great deer killer in the woods.

I bought my .44 to be a cast bullet shooter.  I haven't got around to tying that yet but I've decided it's too good for just a plinker so I scoped it and I'm planning on deer hunting with it this year.  I'm sure looking forward to dialing in the scope...

I sent off a reciever a couple months back to have a 357 and 44 barrels added.
Plans are to ream the 357 to a max.

The 44 is such a good shooter right out of the box it's  becoming a real favorite.
I was out at the backyard shooting range about a week ago sighting a scope in on it.
It's a real nice shooter, a little load work and it should be a great shooter.
