Yep, she said it. I believe it was a statement to stir people up a bit. I think it may have been over blown by the media. I see nothing wrong with telling Washington-listen up, and stop this foolish spending. There will of course be those without a sense of humor and be overly dramatic.

It really is a shame that the best the Republican party has to offer is Palin and Bachmann. I like who Sarah is as a person, but as a politician she was not blessed with the gift of public speaking and made herself look like a moron on more than one occasion. The same goes for Bachmann. Is it really the best women of today's society has to offer? I really hope not! I have met many women who could have a political discussion and be informed, clear in their positions, and eloquently spoken. As a woman, I would hold any woman who was trying to gain the office of President to a higher standard. Call me sexist, but it has traditionally been a job for a man, and any woman trying to break the gender barrier should be five times better than any male candidate just to be competitive. Bachmann has made several strange statements and will not get my vote. It really is a shame that the women who have been put forth by the GOP can not speak without sounding stupid. It gives women everywhere a bad rep!

XD 40. Hillary has no morals or values, shes pro gay marriage, pro death, her expereience in foreign affairs consists of sucking up and selling us down the river. Somehow I'm not sold on the idea of sounding smart as being smart. Why would anyone vote for someone who you don't agree on the issues with...cause they sound smarter?

Obama sounds great...good speaker. He is either not nearly as smart as me, or he is doing the opposite of what you should be doing on purpose...neither situation is a good one. And I'm not all that smart...but smart enough to know you can't override basic math with ideology.
I'll take someone who stutters and sounds dumber, but has basic logic, knows math is final, won't change their minds, and won't give 400 speeches a year to try to sell me something I don't want. It's OK if this person is ugly too. Seems nobody wants any substance anymore, everything has to be good looking and good sounding. Seems we accept the bullcrap then. America needs to get back to the basics.
Hillary would not make a good pimple on my butt, let alone president of a free people. Her foreign policy sucks. She believes in government growth and private sector shrinkage, and does not think math matters. She would not protect our borders either. Nor does she want us armed. Yer better off with the current socialist in office until such time as we can get something we consider the opposite. Totally opposite.

Either of these fine women would get my vote. I've got more in common with Sarah Palin than any stuff shirt ivy league lawyer. I think either of these two would make a fine president, much better than the knuckle head we've got now.

I agree. Of all the major issues, I agree with both of these women on more of them, far as Obama, I'm having a hard time finding one thing, and I think he's lying about that too. Matter of fact..now that I think of it, he lied about that too...

45 people loosing their lives to a storm is a tragedy. No one will disagree with that. How many people died on the road this weekend due to drunk driving? No one wants to answer that do they. Yet every weekend people drink and drive. So loosing 45 to a storm compared to drinking and driving is less than 1%. Math is horrible isnt it, but you see how you can change anything to make it look good or bad.
The only really gifted public speaker was Bill Clinton, he didn't need a telepromter or speech writers. You just had to use a bs filter when he spoke. Then for every 10, 000 words you only heard 5.

I am not sure who would make a good president but I know it's not BHO or Hilary.
I would like to see someone who is smart enough to say no when no is needed and yes when yes is needed but not let their no mean yes and their yes mean no.

I have heard much more stupid ideas and statements from politicians in recent years Here's a list of ten..possibly top 10;

10) "This is a big f------ deal" !

9) " Global warming is a fact".

We have maxed out our credit cards ! ...But we can solve the problem...by just getting more cards !

7) "Our Navy corpse-man"!

6) "Fast & furious"...was an attempt to undermine the 2nd amendment..and it backfired

4) The first "stimulus package" is dissipated..with almost no jobs to show for it..the brain wants to do it all over again.
