Back in the late 60s when I was in jr. high a friend of mine was throwing firecrackers off an overpass. He got tired of the sport and lit a 250 string of firecrackers and threw them. Just as he threw them a state trooper drove under the overpass. The string of firecrackers caught around the light (back in the day when patrol cars had the single light on top, not the bar). Well the trooper thought he was being machine gunned, did a panic stop rolling out of the car into a ditch before he realized what was happening. Lets just say the my friend's rest of the day did not go so well and he never did anything like that again.
