As stated, the benifits of a pocket holster, versus a bare pocket, is that the pocket holster keeps lint from getting into the firearm and also it protects the trigger. Valuable should there be anything else in your pocket, though there shouldn't be, but one might forget and drop something into your pocket with the firearm which is a disaster waiting to happen. Then too I remember reading about a fellow who crawled through a car window with a Kel Tec in his hip pocket. The door lock engaged the trigger and he shot himself in the hip causing serious damage. Wouldn't have happened with a pocket holster. Also, it keeps the firearm in a ready posisition to be drawn rather than a random possition it might achieve being loose in your pocket. They are so inexpensive and so benifitial that if you are going to pocket carry it realy makes sense to use one.

Yep, which also brings up another point. Loose in your pocket the front sight can snag when you draw. No where near as likely to happen with a pocket holster.

Here's the one I'm using for my Kel Tec P-32;

Blackhawk Size 03

I use to think I wouldn't like one but since my son gifted me with this one I've realy taken a liking to it. The band around it keeps it firmly in your pocket. My PF-9 will also fit in it.

Interesting, kinda the same premiss as the Kel Tec clips. However, it's designed for waistband carry and we're talking pocket carry options that are completely concealed.

T/C, I like it because it will easily slide in any pocket. Be it hip, back or jacket pocket.

Spirithawk,
I started carrying it in my front pocket but now almost always carry it in the back pocket.  From behind it looks like a wallet.

I just can't get use to the idea of sitting on it so I carry in my front pants pocket or a jacket pocket.

I mean when I'm driving or go into a restaraunt. Times I don't wish to be taking my firearm in and out of my pocket for fear of it being seen and being acused of brandishing it.

Same here , front carry.
Several classes I have been to showed how easy it is to take a gun or put the owner in a position he can't draw it. To be honest if most saw the video taken by the NC state police when they were experincing problems at their rest areas they would never use a urnial in a public rest room. The one I saw , the trooper working under cover was attacked at the urnial ( most cases the person was attacked as he was using the urnial) he was relived of everything in his back pockets and almost beat to death befor other troopers could get to him. With front pocket carry you can be pinned so you can get to your gun but its not as easy for the attacker to get to it . So if you are waiting in line and a urnial comes free and the guy in front of the line says go ahead I'll wait now ya might know why.

Definately makes a lot of sense.  Some food for thought.  With cooler weather it will go in the pocket inside my jacket.

One of the things I always try to sress to people is that carrying a firearm does you no good if you can't get to it when you need it. The bad guy isn't going to stand around waiting while you dig in your clothing or a purse, ect. I always try to carry where my hand can always be close to my firearm and in a manner that I can easily reach it fast, and cleanly draw, when necesary. One of the reasons I use a variety of holsters. Some just fit certain situations of dress better than others. Also why I carry a back-up. ;) I agree too that one should be aware of how easily it could be grabbed from you by an attacker.

I hook it on my pocket - front or back, covered by an untucked shirt.  The weight gets spread out so it's far more comfortable and less obvious than deep pocket carry.  The gun is also more readily accessable when carried in this position vs. DP.  Other than trying IWB and hooked on my belt when I first got the Barami's I haven't done it.

Hello Conceal Carry Friends.
I was curious how you all conceal your weapon of choice.  I was thinking in particular of the popular micro .380's on the market.  Do you use a pocket holster or just throw the gun in your pocket? Perhaps you have another method.

For any gun except the Glock, you really need a pocket holster to keep the lint and other foreign matter out of the action, the holster also helps to have the firearm sit in your pocket correctly and mask the outline of the firearm.  The Glock 29 i carry in my pocket does not care about dirt, sweat or lint and it sits correctly in the pocket without a holster, in jeans it conceals well
