The scope is a Simmons 44 Mag. Its been on a .280 briefly, lots of time on a .243 and .17 HMR, a bit of time on a 30/06, and now on the .270, and is still solid as a rock. Adjustments are accurate and precise. It costs about 100$, which I might add, is NOT cheap to me, but is very cheap compared to most
The reason it took a box to get it on at a 100 yds is my fault. I took it out and shot a few before I floated, painted, and put the scope I wanted on, just because I couldnt wait to see how it grouped. then I painted it and floated it, got it on paper, then I switched scopes and had to do it again. But I really wasnt worried about it, these guns usually get better as they foul a little, and wanted it dirty before doing any serious group shooting. I can get a gun on paper by looking down the barrel, and have it dead on at 100 in 5 shots if I need too. I just wasnt worried about it in this case.
I dont use o rings, I actually use rubber washers. I dont use a specific size, just stick something under there to big enough to keep wood off the barrel.
