I know how that is. But I use that area for my last chance deer. I hunt some bottom land about 1 1/2 miles from the house. Short 4 wheeler ride. Down there I have 4 fields we hunt around, have a creek with water all the time, have big woods on 2 sides. Can not get permission to hunt the woods, so we get(try) what runs from one patch to the other.

I hear ya. I could walk from the house to where we hunt. In fact when I get desperate, I walk out the back door then another 3-400 yards to my ladder stand. But I save that area as a last resort. We have so many hunters in the area, its truly a wonder there are any deer around here.
