I'm just getting back into reloading after some time off and i never bought a case tumbler and now looking at them the drum tumbler from RCBS is quite expensive at $225. Is there anything else that is just as good but cheaper? BigBill

I just bought a Franklin vibrator. I dont do thousands of cases every few months, but this has done well by me. I think I got it from Midway for something like 40.00

Cabelas has a Tumbler and kit for about $70. I like it, though its not the biggest.

I first started dealing with Midway when they had a special deal on a small tumbler and media kit that came in a 5 gal plastic bucket. I think their brand is now call Frankford Arsenal. I got the smallest one and its held up well for about 10 years now. They refit it with a fan cooled motor a couple years ago on some recall mandate- all I had to pay was about $8 in postage. I don't do big batches but use it steadily year 'round. I really like their orange scented media rejuvenator too. I think it was $50 or $60 well spent.

I have two Lyman Turbo-2200 with auto-flo (one for walnut and one for corncob).
They have worked flawlessly for years...

I have the Lyman turbo as well, and use it with ceramic media which is heavy and have had no problems. I understand that the tumbler type work faster and more aggressively, but the vibratory style has worked well for what I need.
