Looking for Ontario Deer Hunters
« on: September 07, 2011, 03:38:35 PM »
Due to various factors (age, health, work responsibilities, etc.) my second week deer hunt finds itself short a couple of hunters for this fall’s deer hunt in WMU 47 (Parry Sound).

Ours is a remote (wilderness) camp which we access by walking and ATVs, our food and gear is taken in on the ATVs and small trailers.

Duties are shared equally in camp, and our hunting methods are determined by consensus. We do some drives and some individual hunts during the week. Drinking is limited to non-hunting hours.

We often get very nice deer, but we don’t get the monster trophy bucks taken in agricultural areas (our camp record is 151 3/8).

Hunters would have to be at the jump-off point the morning of Saturday, Nov. 12, and we’ll likely be leaving camp before noon on Sunday Nov. 20.

Here are some pictures:

These first two are shots of out #2 camp buck (taken in second week) green scored at 148.

This is a buck taken in first week green scored at 138+:

Since our hauling capacity is limited this year any additional hunters MUST have an ATV! (Trailer not necessary, but it would be a bonus).

If I haven’t frightened you off, and you’re interested, please send me a PM, and I’ll give you more details and arrange a meeting.
Hunting is Exciting!  Bolt actions are BORING!!
Don't mix the two!
