As much as I would like to condemn the entire world of islam, it's still hard to believe that the majority of muslims condone, or justify what the radicals amongst them have done. On this day especially, the less radical muslims should be declaring their outrage at the fanatics that have brought the wrath of much of the freedom loving world upon some of their fellow believers.
It's a massive stretch to try to justify the wretched horrible acts of terrorism perpetrated on the United States and other countries around the world--including muslim countries--by attempting to blame it on our and anyone else's foreign policies. In this day and age it is impossible for our country to withdraw from all foreign relationships and just be an observer. At times, we are bound to ruffle a few feathers as other participants are bound to ruffle our feathers, but none of that is in any way justification for terror attacks.
If anything, though, our resolve should be to respond to acts of terror in a way that is so horrific that not even the most radical of any group would contemplate bringing it on.
