My favorate is Federal 12 ga 2 3/4" sabot slug (stock # 127SS) that looks like the old BRI version. I shoot it in my Remington 1100 with Hastings fully rifled barrel with Leupold 1X4 shotgun scope in a DAMAR receiver mount, exclusively for whitetails. It groups 1" or better at 50 yards, 2.5" at 100 yards, and every round has passed completely through the deer except one frontal shot. (That slug was recovered just under the hide of the farside ham.)
