I packed up my stuff and drove 2 hours to Green River to go dove hunting.
I get there and there is no standby, just sign in. Great. I drive to my favorite area and unpack my stuff.
I grabbed the wrong gun case. I usually have my O/U in a break down case but I put it in a long gun case to go pheasant hunting last year and didn't put it back.
So I packed my stuff back in the truck and drove the 2 hours home. At least I got to listen to the bears game. ::)

that stinks!that reminds me, i do have a o/u i aint used all year either.mite go up to the pond and see if any doves comeing in.

Don't feel so bad.Once I drove 275 miles to deer hunt with my game tags left at home.Good luck next time.

Reminds me of the time I went turkey hunting. Somehow my shotgun turned into a SKS on the way to the woods.  Not Good. :)

I once drove 5 miles into the woods only to discover turkey season didn't open until the next weekend.  I was glad to make it back to the highway without being stopped.
