I've seen some real tempting deals on 3-9 scopes recently. The Bushnell 4200 3-9 and Nikon Monarch 3-9 can be found for around $200.00. The Leupold VX-2 3-9 seems to be at least $100.00 more. Since this is a hypothetical argument, would you spend the extra $100.00 and get the Leupold, or pick one of the other two choices and why?
All else being equal, which of the three has the better glass?
Dave in WV, I bet you are right. Leupold is probably changing their line from VX-II to VX-2, so that means the VX-II's will be sold for a lot less. I bought a new Leupold VX-III 3.5-10x40mm scope for $200 new, so the deals are out there just be patient and look around. yooper77

I recently spent the extra hundy and purchased the Leupold. A few reasons, product experience, company backing of the product, U.S. owned co., and it was available in a glossy finish.
