coyote in a 220?????
« on: January 07, 2004, 02:56:17 AM »
I've read that people catch coyotes in 220's. Now i have a hard time believing this is true. so the other day while out on the line i found a place where coyotes have dug under a fence. i thought that this would be perfect place for me to try. we have had light snow for 3 days and there has been tracks right up to the conibear everyday. so what gives? Do people just catch them by accident with real stupid coyotes or is there a way to do it that i'm not getting? By no means am i thinking that i would every want to run a line for coyotes with 220's. but just wandering if it was really possible and if they could be used a tool in some situations?

Coyotes in 220s

The only one I ever heard of that caught coyotes in 220s on purpose was Ron Cauble in Indiana.  He writes a monthly column in Fur Taker Magazine.  In one of his articles he wrote about setting 220s for coyotes and caught them!
