Nathans new rifle
« on: January 07, 2004, 03:22:18 AM »
Well sorry it has taken so long to get back with you folks.  Been busy at the Leath household for sure.  Hope this finds everyone in good health and ready for a great new year.

We got out and shot Nathans new rifle,  Henry 22 lever,  at his grandpas this weekend.  What a fine shooter that rifle is.  Nathan has the hang of it too. I bought him a small metal swinger that has 3 targets on it.  At 30 feet off hand he was hitting them about 75% of the time.  I was so proud.  My nephew and brother were with us. My nephew had never shot a gun before and had a blast.  Had my brother wanting one for there house.  Sister in law is the stopping point there.

I need to get a shorter butt stock for it gonna call Henry today and see what can be done.

Way to go!

Nothing like a boy's (or girl's for that matter) first firearm.  Know you worked on the rules with him.

Pretty soon he'll be shooting CAS with DAD.

I sure hope you weren't down this way and didn't call..
But what is liberty without wisdom, and without virtue? It is the greatest of all possible evils; for it is folly, vice, and madness, without tuition or restraint.  - Edmund Burke
