 Just got a .35 Remington Super 14 barrel for my Contender today, found a good deal on it so I just couldnt pass it up. Should be getting a Weaver Classic 2x scope later this week to go on it also.
It has the old T/C quick change scope monut and rings on it, so I believe I will give them a try. They seem to be rock solid with no movement at all that I can determine.
I have no dies or components for the .35 Rem. so I will try to get a couple boxes of cartidges for a range report this weekend. Im still gonna hunt with the .375 Win. barrel this year though. If I get one with the .375 Win. I might switch over to the .35 Rem. and see if I can get one with it also.

I have a 12" 35 Rem with muzzle tamer. Just an FYI, at least in my barrel, factory ammo wouldn't have hit a bull in the butt at 20 paces. OK, maybe not that bad, but I was pretty discouraged until I found a handload recipe it likes. Now it shoots very well. So, don't get too discouraged if it doesn't group well with factory ammo. 

Mine loves the Hornady 200 gr round nose and Win 748 powder. Mine are also seated long, way over book length. I find that's pretty common for me in my TC barrels. You may have to play with bullet seating depth.

As far as factory rounds go..mine likes the Hornady Leverrevolution..mines a 14" without a brake.  I will probably carry this one this year till a get a deer with it..just leave the rifles at home...
