ATF approval for Interchangeable chambers cannon
« on: September 20, 2011, 04:39:59 AM »
I am interested in the interchangeable chamber type swivel cannon used from the 1600s-1700s.

Has anyone gotten a ATF approval letter for such a cannon?

you don't need it, since it is a replica of a pre 1899 it should be exempt.

If you aren't comfortable with that just write the technology branch and ask.  They generally have been very good about responding to such queries.

Double D.,   Please don't forget the beautiful breech loading swivel gun that your Montana neighbor over in Kalispell crafted.  MikeR C made one that became a legendary GBO Calendar shot.

Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

Speaking of "The Absent".  Where is Dan the Swede?  He hasn't chimed in here in a while.

Slap me up side the head, how could I forget one the best cannon pictures we have ever had posted here.

The OMG factor comes when you see how big the gun, isn't.
