I bought a rifle with one of these scopes on it, later sold the rifle, ended up getting the scope for about 50$. It's in excellent condition as far as I can tell, and it shot well enough on the 300 WSM I had it on, although I never really sat down with it to group it in.
I'm putting together a hunting rifle using an Encore as the platform, chambered in 270 weatherby mag. I had planned on using this scope, but after doing some research there is a lot of bad press out there for it. I emailed the company asking about repairs(just in case), and apparently it's an older model and they can no longer repair it.
There's a LOT of good stuff out there too, but for every good thing, I find one or two bad things.
Should I wait and see or should I start looking for another scope? I sorta picked the caliber for the scope, should have done my research. There's still time, I could still switch it out for the flatter shooting 257 weatherby!
