SSI-One
« on: September 21, 2011, 05:49:10 AM »
I was playing around on Mossberg's web site last night and stumbled on a page for the SSI-One. :o   The pictures showed three models, a 12g slug (camo), camo turkey special and rifle in wood.  Is Mossberg bringing back this model?  I have a 308 and love the rifle it is an accurate gun.  I would love to see Mossberg reintroduce the SSI and the extra barrels.

I think Mossberg made a huge mistake in stopping production. Perhaps they are re-introducing them.

I had an 06 and I still have a 223 which I love, great wood and well made. I think it would have went over better if they would have given it a good blue job in place of the dull matt finish.

It seems that more and more, the gun makers, in trying to save a lousy $25 bucks, make one final short-cut in manufacturing the rifle, which in the end totally ruins its beauty in some way.  Putting a matt finish instead of a high finish on this rifle is an example.  I think most folks would have gladly paid an extra $25 to have a beautiful blueing job.
