Southwest Airlines, Feds Investigate Arabic Markings on Planes

Published September 21, 2011
| NewsCore
Mysterious messages that appeared to be scrawled in Arabic writing on the underbellies of several Southwest Airlines jets were being investigated Wednesday by the airline and the FBI, Los Angeles radio station KNX-1070 reported.
The graffiti, which began appearing in February on 737-model planes, has been found more often in recent weeks, according to the report.
The writing appears to have been etched using a chemical process and is visible only after an auxiliary power unit is turned on.
Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Brandy King confirmed that the company is "conducting an internal investigation." The FBI and Transportation Security Administration were also making enquiries.
The airline denied that the vandalism posed a safety or security threat.

This is a troublesome development. It is easy to get all worked up over purported terrorist 'threats',  but this needs to be taken seriously. It is reported that the text pictured below is what was found:

I cannot speak or read Arabic - can anyone here provide translation?
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Yt3,

You really should further your education if you do not know the difference between Arabic and a fictional language.   But if it helps, I can go to the used bookstore and get a copy of a conversational Romulan language book.

Does this mean that you cannot read Arabic, or just that you refuse to provide translation of the mysterious message inscribed on the SW jets?

It seems kind of wierd, they catch people trying to take an extra 1/2 oz of shampoo or something like that, but they cant catch somebody spraying something on the plane.  :o

So far I haven't seen any published account of what the writing says.  The post with the alleged 'here's what was on the planes' isn't accurate.  That's something from Lord of the Rings.

The 'chemical process' only visible after 'applying UV light' is probably just written with a blacklight marker like they use at night clubs to show that someone has been carded or paid the cover charge or whatever.  No special science, just a commercially available marker visible with a commercially available blacklight.

Whatever it says and however it was applied, it's probably not good.  Anybody want to bet that is doesn't say 'stop the violence' or 'Allah loves peace'?

yt3,

One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them together, and in the Darkness bind them.

Still.  I think you should go back to school if you cannot tell the difference between the language of Islam, and that of the fictional land of Mordor, despite Islam being a cult of subjugation, and Mordor a land determined to subjugate other peoples.  The two go together quite well, actually.

Btw that was not the markings on the plane. They were sword like ib appearance.
