New BH 209 breach plug for CVA?
« on: September 23, 2011, 11:08:40 AM »
Has anyone tried the CVA breach plug, AC1611BH, that is designed for BH 209 in the Wolf-Optima and Accura. I realize you can drill out the flash hole, on the one that comes with the gun. Is there an advantage to the one CVA sells for BH 209. Thanks, Don

I have one in my bergara barrel for my encore which is the same one as the optima.  I also had my original plug drilled out.  I have quite a bit of blowback with the original plug and none with the bh 209 plug.   I would recommend it highly.

Thanks bubba, I have not drilled out my factory plug but after setting my head space, on the Optima, no blow back at all. I am thinking of getting one of the breech plugs for 209. What diameter did you drill yours out. Thanks, Don

it was drilled for me when I bought it.  They used a #64 drill bit. (.035)  I do not know anymore than that.

Thanks, I drilled mine out to .035 today. It was .0292 from CVA. Don
