I use the same boot cream I use on my cowboy boots (boot barn) on my danner boots.  So far have not had to add color to my Prong horns and I do nto add color or dressing to the Jackels I have.  But the grouse models I have, the dressing adds color and Kwai wax work well to protect the leather.
You can always just order the Danner stuff from the website.  It is in the accessory stuff with the shoe laces.

I use Neatsfoot Oil (the real oil, not the 'compound') on all my leather. For wet I top that treatment with the old Sno-Seal, cause I have it. When its gone I will use another waxy topcoat. If I was to retreat waxed cotton on boots, as well as a drover coat, etc. I would used a stiffish waxy type topcoat too. It is probably mostly beeswax in those.

+1 on neatsfoot oil to feed the leather, then Snow Seal to waterproof it.  I also use Snow Seal for patch lube for my flintlock so usually have some around.

hooray here for the sno-seal also!

i don't know how danners are tanned
and i don't have any, so i don't know

oil tanned leather is to be treated
with oil-based dressing(neatsfoot,etc.)

silicone treated leather is supposed
to get a silicone-base treatment

you can't go wrong with the sno-seal
and i believe i'd use a neutral shoe wax
on those boots

good luck

A few years ago Danner had a promotion and would send you  some with a new boot purchase. It would seem they ran out, because they sent me an apology and a sample of Nixwax I believe it was called.

Another 'magic' leather treatment that is mostly beeswax?
FWIW, Ive used the pure Neatsfoot Oil and Snoseal on silicone tanned leathers, as well as oil tanned, and cant see as how it was ever a problem.

I would try a silicon dressing on cloth so it lays on the surface and not ruin the cloth.
