Mossberg Persuader
« on: September 24, 2011, 02:47:56 PM »
My son just bought a new Mossberg Persuader for home defense. We took it out to the range with us yesterday and this thing puts the wick in wicked! It sure drew everyones attention at the range. Loaded with .00 Buck it would be like getting hit with several .38's all at the same time! Dang it, it ain't fair! I want one too! ;) Maybe the Blackwater version. :) My son added a combo tac light and laser to his. This is just a stock photo as I don't have one of his yet;

That ought to do the job. How many rounds does it hold?

Love short weapons of any kind, but:
Had a "Choate" pistol grip on my 870 patrol shotgun. Learned pretty quick that a short stock worked better for house clearing. The short stock can be tucked underneath the forearm for added support when the off hand was needed to deal with doors and such. The stock also helps a lot for aimed fire at anything other than point blank range. For inside the house, the pistol grip works ok if you don't have to "One Hand it" to perform other tasks or don't need to use it for an impact weapon.

One of the nice things about it is that it comes with a stock too in case you prefer it that way. A folding stock would be sweet on it.

Yep! I tried a side folder on my 870 as well. Kept that short OAL when folded, and helped with sighted fire when opened.

A target shot at 15 yards with it, using .00 Buck, is pretty impressive. One would make a great burglar deterant taped to your front door. lol

Looks to be based on the proven model 500 pump platform.  I've had one of those for decades and it is a solid performer.  It goes "BOOM" every time I pull the trigger and has never given me any trouble.
