loaded up 26.0,26.2,26.4,26.6  using remington brass, cci 400 primers, hornady 60 grain sp, varget powder, hodgdon didnt show a load for 60 grain, just 63,max on 63 grain  was 26.4.shot them in a h&r .223,all of them shot good, only shot at 30 or 40 yards, nosigns of cracks, primers looked good. can anybody tell me the velocity of the 4 loads,i know it cant be exact but a close figure, thanks!

josebd,

The new Hornady manual has 21.7-24.9gr of varget behind their 60 grain pills....24.9gr should give ya right around 3000 with 26" bbl

hhhhmmmm, well i dont know which to believe, why does hodgdon show more than hornady?26.4 for the 63 grain 3199 velocity,27.5 for the 55 grain. and i have shot the 26.0,26.2,26.4,26.6 and tha cases and primers looked fine
