National Park selling US made
« on: September 26, 2011, 06:17:37 AM »
We took a little drive to Rocky Mountain NP over the weekend.  I was pleased to find that among all the chinese coffee mugs and trash I looked at while the wife used the facilities were US made Stetson crusher hats for $68 more or less.  This is not much more than the foreign crap sold in BP.  They were also heavier wool felt.  Next time I need a new hat, that is where I an thinking of going.

Exactly what I say..............quit buying Walmart, Sam's, Harbor Freight and search for "Made in America" products  only.  My wife gets mad at me because I won't but any food products that are not made in America (She buys a few) and when looking for anything I always try to find one made here at home.

Small move perhaps but I'm trying to do my part to get our country going in the right direction again! 8)

I do the same and it's hard to do.
other than groceries, the only thing I've bought in months is federal automatch.

Apologies to BP.  I put on my last hat from there, looked inside, and it is US made.  Can't have too many rollup/crusher wide brimmed hats if you are bald, like me.

Same here, I love to eat seafood but even here on the Atlantic coast most of the stuff is imported from China or has a mix of domestic and foreign ingredients.    B A R F  !! >:(

As someone who works for a made in USA manufacturing facility I always check labels and buy USA whenever I'm given the choice. USA made can still be found at Walmart but you have to check the labels carefully.
