Fort Bragg NC question
« on: September 27, 2011, 09:52:18 AM »
I have a son stationed at Ft. Bragg and is getting married in December. Does anyone on here have rental property(or a friend with rental property) in Fayetteville? Finding  reasonable housing in a good neighborhood is getting difficult. The ideal find would be a small apartment owned by a retired  serviceman  in a secure location.
If any one has any ideas please let me know, we sure could use your help.
Thanks

Tell him to check out Spring Lake just east of Pope AFB. I retired from Pope in 2008 and lived in an apartment on Ray Road. It can be looked up on Mapquest. Ft Bragg is only a 10-15 minute drive. The area was in a country setting and very quiet. I just can't remember the name of the apartments I lived in but there are a few on that road. I looked long and hard when I got there and this was the nicest area. Definitely stay out of downtown Fayetteville!

He should join the Automated Housing Referral Network (AHRN), it's free and I find it invaluable! Another new one is Go Army Homes. Wish him luck, it's not always easy finding suitable military housing, especially if you have standards. ::)
