One species of wood, birch. I purchased the wood already laminated.

Looks good David. If I ever buy a "lawnmower gun" I'll have to buy a set so they will match.

Looks like a nice solid rest you have there too.

I think it is perfect just the way it is.  The  only one that is better is the one just like it on one of my G2s.  Depending on who is asking it is either John Deere or Packers!

David,
I really like your natural wood stock sets, but am not much of a fan of laminate furniture on any firearm.   Have to say though that this one would be just dandy for IHMSA - different enough from the normal laminates to be quite eye appealing to even me.  I'm also impressed how well you balanced the laminate side to side - color and pattern... something not seen often on commercial made stocks.   FWIW your extra care to do so really "makes" this set.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

Thanks for the compliments gentlemen! I do try and balance the color from side to side and with a two color pattern it can be done. But with a three color such as this one it becomes a little harder to do. Actually to do this I had to leave one ear on the forearm a little thicker.  To me the difference isnt that noticeable. Also if you look at the forearm the browns and grays run a different pattern.
