Long range hangunning off a rest is easy enough to master, but to hit small you need to aim small and that comes down to scope magnification. Nothing wrong with the TC scopes at all, and IMO 7X will get you by just fine for steel and coyotes at 200, but will be a little lacking for paper and "peeker" chucks at that range or beyond. All the years I shot IMSHA I used Burris 7X target or 2-7 scopes as they were the ticket for me for steel when I was not a knob twister at the various ranges. But for paper, when the targets get smaller and the ranges longer more mag is always better. Since I don't put rifle scopes on handguns I had to get by with 12X or less on all of my long range handguns, and my 1000 yard match pistol. With 10X or 12x though even very small ground squirrels were an easy target at 200 and in serious jeopardy at surprising ranges beyond. For all my handguns I ended up with a lot of 1-4, 2-7, 3-9 and 3-12 scopes for their versatility, but also had a lot of 3X, 5X, 7X and 10X target scopes, and a few 1X, 2X, 4X and 6X hunting scopes to match the cartridge/purpose to the intended task so at least sub MOA was the norm, and with some quarter MOA.
