ESPN pulls Hank Williams Jr. after he compares Obama to Hitler By Chris Chase

Hank Williams Jr., the singer whose various videos for the hit song "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Monday Night" has served as the intro to "Monday Night Football" for 23 seasons, compared President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler during a Monday morning appearance on "Fox and Friends." The statement led to ESPN pulling his popular intro segment, best known to fans for its "Are you ready for some football?" ending, for Monday night's game between the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
During a discussion on the 2012 presidential race, Williams began discussing Obama's golf outing with Speaker of the House John Boehner. He said it was a political mistake, on par with "Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu."

i saw hank williams jr on fox this morning
he was great...i really got a kick out of watching him

now ESPN has stiffled his free speach

can i urge any one that is paying for ESPN [directly or indirectly]
to cancel your service.......atleast call and threaten to cancel

Been boycotting football and all other games played with balls as well as racing for at least 30-40 years. I have no clue if ESPN is available to me. I've never watched it at any rate. Since it's not likely available ala carte you either get it or don't and can't change that.

I'd like to see all ball games to include golf and of course racing removed from TV.

While I have never been a big fan of Hank Jr it is his right as an American to say what he wants.
Where & when he says it may have been a mistake on his part, career wise, I admire him for standing up for what he believes.
If more people would stand up for their rights & beliefs maybe this country wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.
I really don't think ESPN is to worried over this and I would think neither is Hank.
He will gain a few fans and maybe lose a few, though I doubt he will lose many.
In the end it is just the liberal media playing up on something taken out of context and making a mountain out of a mole hill.
The only thing I say is if that is someone believes than don't back down from it!
Don't try to sugar coat it.
There is nothing wrong with standing up for ones beliefs.
Just my view on the matter.
As for ESPN, I don't watch it anyway.

ESPN's removing Hank William's intro to the game was explained in terms of their supporting ethical and moral standards. Hogwash. Their bottom line motive is, and has always been, only the profit margin. Didn't they once before threaten to remove him from their intro to Monday Night Football and then change their minds after receiving strong public complaint? Whatever long-term decision they make will be that which provides them the most money and nothing else, no matter what holier-than-thou BS they dispense.

He stated that the 2.... meaning one dem, one Rep. was like Hitler and Binyamin Netanyahu
meaning two opposites in the same arena,Dems would have understood(they use this) if he had said
"Like Black and White" than they would have called him out for calling Obamo Black

Been a fan of Hank Jr. since I met him back in the '80s and that ain't likely to change. He didn't much give a damn what most folks thought back then and I'm willing to bet he cares even less now. The media can malign him all they want but the fact of the matter is, he's a lot more knowledgeable about both politics and the plight of the common man than any reporter or talking head I've ever heard speak.

Maybe old Hank Jr remember this and decided that sometimes you have to take a stand...

Not the way I heard it! If you watch the video, he said the (enemy) was Biden and Obama. (Strong statement)Not that I disagree with him, but that would make it pretty clear who the Hitler comment was aimed at.

He got caught up in the moment, and said what was on his mind.PERIOD! Hank is that way and he really doesn't need Fox or ESPN to exist. Probably raised his recording stock by saying what he said. Only thing that lowered his stock with me was, when asked if he had any favorites running for Prez. He said not really, and did say Cain made sense. Not one mention of Paul, which tells me ol Hank is a Republican Hawk (Neocon).
