That is pretty sweet looking. Who makes that?
Fred Stevens designed this sweet little pistol, and also designed the excellent High Standard .22 DA derringer.
The DA38 was made first by Benjamin Johnson Technologies, "BJT"in Connecticut.... now by American Derringer in Texas.
Still made,

I've owned a couple. Looking at another right now, used, at about $340.
I found that using your middle finger to pull the trigger, while your index finger is alongside the barrels (watch it doesn't extend past the barrell!) is a very good way to shoot the little pistol.
The safety releases easily in most examples I've tried. I've also carried it with the safety off.
Not much bigger or heavier than a 'mouse gun' and way more powerful.
I like it because you don't have to cock it. It's very fast. Can be shot thru a coat pocket without jamming.
As Gomer said - surprise, surprise, surprise.
