You mean BHO is more under the control of OPEC and other foreign big oil producers. Oil imports are soaring and the price per barrel is way up. Oil production in this country is down by the feds regulating it down. That is profiting the oil companies in the ME & South America also. BHO sent how many billions of our tax dollars to South American oil companies to boost pumping/production? Why would he do this? Why would we not pump oil here on our shores and reduce imports?

I work for a natural gas utility company, and Obama's EPA has made my job H*ll.  More unnecessary paperwork.  As for the birth certificate, yes it is a forgery.  My wife downloaded a copy from the internet and put it in Adobe reader I think.  When she exploded it, it was 3 different fonts and different parts could be seperated off the original form.  She is/was a programmer, and computer geek.  She said it definately was a cut and paste job.  Also, remember Glenn Beck, he said the next thing that the left would do was to start protests.  Create problems, and that they would have the only solutions.  Hmmm.  The left are the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen.  They protest capitalism, but use Apple iphones and ipads, and Apple has made gazillions in profits.  They wear clothes made from corporations.  Just hypocritical.  They have tarps made from plastics from oil companies. 
 
What about big coal companies, 40-45% of electricity is made from coal not oil.  Obama is having about 10% of the coal power plants shut down.  New nuke plants are not on line.  Like I said I work for a natural gas utility, and almost ALL new power plants built the last 10 years have been natural gas to avoid EPA rules for coal.  Natural gas now produces 10-20% of electricty.  That is why we need fracking.  Libs don't want coal, natural gas, oil, or nukes.  They want wind and solar.  However it takes coal, oil, natural gas to melt metal and make steel for solar and wind generation.  Without government subsities, alternatives are not cost effective.  Nukes are the only alternative that can generate enough power, day and night outside of fossil fuels.  Even hydrogen power takes electricity to make the hydrogen.  Most hydrogen is made from natural gas not water.  Natural gas is CH4 (4 hydrogens) while water is H2O (two hydrogen), so it is cheaper to make hydrogen from natural gas than water.  Back we go, so it is cheaper to burn the natural gas for power directly than break out the hydrogen.
 
We do not have the technology at a lower cost to compete with natural gas, oil, or coal right now.  If we opened up drilling all over America, the government could get a windfall tax from the oil and gas industry in 10 years of 13 trillion dollars and provide 1.8 million new jobs at an average wage of $60,000 a year, while getting us off imported oil.  Some libs are not thinking.  Alternatives will be available when they become less expensive like algae oil, cow manure natural gas, etc.

Yep, my company has checked into alternatives before.  We once tapped Birmingham's landfill and got natural gas.  I was only about 5 psi of pressure, but we tapped it and ran it back to Birmingham.  Didn't last long though.  There are enough dairy farms and feed lots in American to provide ALL the residential natural gas.  However, it costs twice as much as fracking or drilling.  More labor intensive.  So, we continue fracking and drilling, and we have about a 200 year supply.  Why process cow manure yet, or sewage for gas, when drilling is cheaper.  Same with Algae oil.  Gasoline will have to get and stay about $5 a gallon before it is profitable to make it from algae oil.  Costs right now are about $4 a gallon to make and process algae oil, and that is BEFORE highway taxes.  People need to wake up and realise we will be using oil, gas, and coal for the next 50 years at least.  There are 200 million cars and trucks in America and Canada all using gas or diesel except a handful of electrics.  They are not going away any time soon, at least for 20 years.  Also, most railroad locomotives are diesels.  They last about 50 years once built, so they aren't going away. 
 
We can make synthetic oil from coal or algae WHEN all the natural sources from drilling are used up.  We can make synthetic natural gas from cow manure, sewage, seaweed, and algae  WHEN all the fracked and drilled are used up.  It won't be for 50-100 years. 
 
We need to be free from foreign imports, oil being half our trade deficit, and we can solve this by drilling our own in 10 years. 
 
Renegotiating "Free Trade" agreements to make them "Fair" is the second solution to bringing our factories back.

the folks in the north could afford to heat their homes, (some have been known to freeze to death) people could afford to take a vacation, thus buying more gas. plastic products could be produced here instead of china, big oil could sell every barrel that's pumped up.

Big oil like any other company wants stability.  They want a stable supply of oil, price and supply not determined by OPEC.  They can't drill here because of environmental regulations, so they drill in Brazil, Mexico, the North Sea, and anywere else they can drill.  If they could drill here with reasonable environmental regulations, the Feds could get 13 trillion in windfall taxes.  Glut doesn't determine profit.  If say Exxon has to buy OPEC oil for say $100 a barrel, and they refine it, and make a $10 profit.  They could drill it here for say $50 a barrel, refine it, and make a $10 profit.  Doesn't matter the crude cost, they can still make a reasonable profit.  Drilling here would drop the crude price and allow more independent wildcatters to drill.  Exxon would buy their crude from the lowest priced well first.  Price of oil is going to always creep up so long as India and China keep buying automobiles with their growing middle class.  So if we produced our own, the money would stay HOME, HERE, providing jobs, and money circulating creating more associated jobs.
