Beer with 60% alcohol

There's a kind of alcohol war where some brewers are making ultra high alcohol content beers, like 40 to 60 percent (80 to 120 proof). Seems like hard liquor to me, and it costs a huge amount of money. Interesting, though. I'll certainly never try it (or any other liquor). Some will find it intriguing.

I don't know as you can get that high an alcohol content by brewing or fermenting.     That was the reason they came up with the concept of "fortified" wine.  If this is the same kind of thing I wouldn't really call it Beer!  But then I am something of a "beer snob" and I take the education of my palate very seriously!     'bout a 6 pack or two a night serious!   
 
So, if you buy it, I'll try it!
