Gunshow find!
« on: October 08, 2011, 10:10:31 AM »
Hit the local gunshow this morning and picked up a 7mm08 for $180. Locks up tight and the trigger is awesome. Came with a box of handloads 140 gr SST on top of 38gr of IMR4064. What do you think did I do good?!
Thanks TJ

You did good on the Handi! Personally, I would pull the bullets on the handloads. Better to be safe than sorry, you just never can trust someone else's handloads. ;)  Especially after what I have seen here. ::) :'(

Thanks, Dinny

I second Dinny's thoughts.

Good deal on the Handi ;D ... but I too have reservations about gunshow handloads!
From personal experience  :P

Congrats, pricewise, I would say you did pretty good, definitely better than I did :'( ,  I paid $200 for mine, and that was a while ago, and the trigger is still rough.

I also agree with Dinny.  The only handloads I trust, are the ones, I loaded, or the ones my best friend loaded.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

+4 on the handloads. It only takes one mistake by the loader and you pay the price. It ain't worth it.
You did good on the gun though. ;)
